Monday Michigan Sports Wrap-Up

Michigan chased it's win over Michigan State with a loss to Arkansas. The first half of the game was brutal for Michigan with misses shooting the ball and some easy turnovers. The second half went better, especially for defense, though it wasn't enough to win the game.

Michigan State performed very well against Purdue. Some blame Purdue's problems on their travel difficulties in getting to the game, but MSU played a tight game.

Western Michigan defeated Central Michigan with Nate Hutcheson scoring 17 points and achieving eight rebounds. Although Central Michigan rallied, Wester Michigan held on to their lead to win the game.

Eastern Michigan bested Toledo thanks to Quintin Dailey's 3-pointer. Eastern Michigan has won six straight in the series between the MAC schools.

Oakland fell to Oral Roberts. While Oakland led at half-time, its streak of 10 victories when leading at half-time was snapped.

An Exciting Week in Michigan College Sports

The University of Michigan delivered a heartbreaker to Michigan State this week. It was a rough loss for Michigan State fans.

Michigan and Michigan State aren't the only Michigan college teams having and exciting week. Central Michigan women's basketball lost 73-60 at Eastern Michigan. Saginaw Valley men's basketball saw a loss of 72-52 to Ashland. Oakland University enjoyed a victory over IPFW 96-86.

Next week should be just as exciting. Don't forget your college tees and hoodies to cheer your team to victory!

Michigan vs Ohio State

This weekend is not only for stuffing yourself with turkey, it's also time for the November 26th Michigan vs Ohio State game. The Michigan/Ohio State game is one of the most cherished rivalries in sports and we'll be wearing our Michigan tees on Saturday.

The Michigan Wolverines will be hoping for their first win against the Buckeyes since 2003. As many have noted, Ohio and Michigan have reversed roles this year, with the Buckeyes now playing the role of a football program accustomed to the biggest wins now facing an also-ran bowl game.

Michigan State basketball plays the North Carolina Tar Heels on the USS Carl Vinson at 7PM today, to be broadcast on ESPN. Happy Veteran's Day!

The University of Michigan plays Illinois at 3:30 tomorrow. The game will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN2.

Despite the controversy about a few calls, Michigan fell to Iowa this past weekend.
Michigan State remained on track for its Big Ten Championship Game objective, beating Minnesota on Saturday.
The Western Michigan women's soccer season came to an end as the Broncos fell to Toledo, 1-0, in the Mid-American Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon at Toledo's Scott Park.
Michigan State women's basketball dominated Grand Valley State on Sunday for a 75-23 victory.
Oakland University won the Summit League women's soccer championship wit ha 2-1 victory over North Dakota State.

As you know by now, Michigan State defeated the University of Michigan 28 - 14 this past Saturday, leaving half of our office in tears and the other half cheering.

Western Michigan University
The women's soccer team defeated Eastern Michigan University 1-0 when Brittney Pavlica scored a goal with two minutes left in double overtime.

Central Michigan University
Central Michigan picked up a 1-0 win over Northern Illinois in women's soccer.

Grand Valley State University
The No. 3 Grand Valley state University women's soccer team won 3-0 against Michigan Tech on Sunday afternoon. The Grand Valley football team claimed a 61-31 GLIAC victory over Lake Erie College on Saturday night.

Saginaw Valley State University
The men's soccer team tied Oakland University in double overtime on Saturday. The women's soccer team tied Ashland University 0-0.

Ferris State University
The Ferris State Football team won against Northern Michigan University.
