Big Ten Basketball Status Report

We’re smack dab in the middle of Collegiate Basketball Season, and with so many teams, games and news updates, it can be hard to keep up! For this blog post, we just wanted to list some Big Ten Conference Basketball highlights regarding three of our favorite basketball teams, Michigan, Michigan State & Ohio State, since there is something new on the court almost everyday.

Michigan Senior Forward DeShawn Sims earned the Big Ten Conference’s Player of the Week honor for the week of January 4-10, 2010. This Wolverine helped Michigan beat Penn State, scoring 25 points during the game and 17 points against Northwestern. He also became the 27th player in Michigan history to earn more than 1,300 career points.

In games played through January 10, 2010, The MSU Spartans currently holds the number one spot in the Big Ten Conference with a record of 13-3 overall and 3-0 in the Big Ten.

While the Ohio State Basketball Team endured a couple Big Ten Losses against Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota earlier this month, this week the Buckeyes honored the 1960 NCAA Championship Buckeyes in a 50 year anniversary Reunion Event.
